Epicormic growth was impenetrable appearing as a petticoat surrounding the trunk and natural form rising our of that skirt. Diameter was estimated at 1.5m, rendering a girth of roughly 4.7m. Gnarled lower trunk, self-healing of earlier bough removal. Stands above surrounding yews of passing interest but no great antiquity..
