This tree's story

These old Hornbeam trees are located in the Country Park, in an AONB, on a track leading to the Pilgrims Way and Trottiscliffe Village.

Additional comments

There are three old Hornbeams close together in the park, with identification tags numbers. All three have been coppiced.
1. The tree is 232cm @150cm, has 5 branches, with 2 limbs removed, plus moss. Tag no 00991.
2. This tree is the largest at 330cm @150cm, from the trunk it has 6 branches at 1.5m, and some removed. It has a large amount of damage, plus moss. Tag no 00992
3. The tree is 310cm @150cm, with 10 branches from the trunk. It has rot, damage and some decay at one side from a removed branch. Tag no 00993.
