This tree's story
This massive and handsome sycamore in front of the main gate of Knole House, possibly over 200 years old, may well be one of the two sycamores shown on an etching of the house dated 1838. They were probably planted to replace two sycamores shown on earlier sketches eg Knyff/Kip 1698
