On the site of an old manor house, a Horticultural Institute was established in 1888. The grounds were planted with many specimen shrubs and trees, few of which remain following housing development. It is likely that this Foxglove tree was one of them.

Growing on the tree

  • Ivy

Additional comments

An attractive tree with lots of purple blossom on bare branches in spring and large leaves coming later. It is situated close to the roadside.
