These trees' story

The only measurable Hawthorn in what looks like an ancient hedge against the footpath, containing c15 otherwise inaccessible specimens mostly larger than the one recorded, running along the south and east edges of the estate’s ‘Red walk’.

Additional comments

The measured tree has a trunk that is split open and apparently rotting.Girth measured at 120 mm height as extremely rough lateral branching above this level. This and the hawthorn next to it contain mistletoe. Directly opposite a walnut growing on the other side of the path.
