This tree's story

One of two large Horse Chestnut trees both pollarded and shaped. These are located opposite Royal Claredon Hotel, (Royal Pier Rd) at the entrance to their front garden adjacent to the Thames. The two trees form a canopy over the entrance (see photo).

Growing on the tree

Additional comments

These trees are both upright and healthy condition, although growing from pavement and close to the road. The larger meets our measurement requirement, whilst the second is 225cm dia. at 1.5m
