This tree's story
This has long been acknowledged as a veteran tree in Swanley, which was only established as a village/town in the late 1800s, when the railway came. The tree may have been in Garrolds Wood mentioned on old maps.

Signs of animal life
- squirrels
Additional comments
The tree is in good health. Looks like it may have been coppiced once. Big branches come out around 2 metres up. Surrounded by other well-spaced youger oaks in an area of woodland in front of The Woodlands hall. (Photos added Feb 2013)
