This tree's story

This Sycamore tree is in the a heavily wooded area in the garden of the Bupa Nurshing home, formerly Staplehurst Manor. Two metres from the base the trunk splits into two. The base of the tree has several buttresses. The tree appears in good health and there is no evidence of storm damage. It sits on the edge of the boundary along which runs a footpath. In a field opposite, on the other side of the footpath, is a very large English Oak tree.
